Advanced energy-based treatments stimulate renewal from within, helping to prevent future damage while restoring clarity, tone, and resilience—safe and effective for all skin types.

Reveal Luminous Skin with
MOXI Laser Resurfacing

MOXI
is Perfect For…

  • Refreshing skin clarity, tone, and smoothness with no downtime
  • Reducing sun damage and pigmentation with a gentle touch
  • Preventing visible aging signs in younger skin or maintaining results post-laser
  • Improving skin texture and glow before events or seasonally as needed
Treatment Length

A full-face MOXI session typically takes 30–45 minutes, including topical numbing. It’s fast, effective, and easy to schedule on your lunch break.

Treatment Frequency

We typically recommend an initial series of 3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart. After that, seasonal or quarterly sessions maintain long-term results.

Treatment Results

Expect visible improvement in tone and glow within 5–7 days. Skin continues to smooth and brighten over the next 2 weeks as collagen remodeling occurs.

Treatment Recovery

MOXI is loved for its zero-downtime profile. Skin may appear pink and feel dry or sandpapery for a few days, but you can wear makeup the next day and resume all normal activities.

What is
MOXI?

MOXI® is a fractionated, non-ablative laser that delivers gentle yet powerful skin renewal using a 1927nm wavelength. It works by creating thousands of microscopic thermal zones in the upper layers of the skin, stimulating renewal from within while leaving the surface largely intact. Unlike deeper resurfacing lasers, MOXI targets early signs of aging, sun damage, pigmentation, and roughness with minimal recovery. It’s the perfect laser for patients who are new to energy devices, want to maintain surgical or laser results, or simply want a year-round skin polish. At REAL Aesthetic Medicine, we use MOXI to subtly and safely elevate your skin quality in a way that’s completely compatible with busy, active lives.

How MOXI Works

Fractionated Light Energy

BBL HEROic delivers 4x faster pulses than classic BBL, meaning full-body treatments can now be done in a fraction of the time. A face that once MOXI uses a unique laser wavelength (1927nm) that’s specifically absorbed by water in the skin. This means it penetrates into the upper dermis, creating controlled micro-injuries that trigger the body’s natural healing and collagen remodeling response, all while preserving the surrounding skin.
30 minutes can now be treated in under 10, with consistent coverage and uniform results.

Cellular Renewal

As your skin heals, the body clears damaged pigment, rebuilds healthy tissue, and replaces tired skin cells with new ones. This turnover process improves texture, clarity, and radiance. Over time, fine lines diminish, pore size refines, and skin becomes more even and smooth.

Safe for All Skin Tones

Because MOXI is non-ablative and customizable in strength, it is safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types. We can adjust the density and energy levels based on your skin tone, sensitivity, and goals, making this one of the most inclusive lasers on the market.

Seamless Integration with Skincare

MOXI enhances your investment in medical-grade skincare. By gently exfoliating the top layer of the skin and stimulating deeper renewal, it creates the perfect canvas for serums and actives to penetrate more effectively.

This Treatment is
Great For…

Whether you’re a skincare devotee or just beginning to explore laser options, MOXI is a beautiful starting point and long-term companion in your skin journey.

01
Sun Damage & Pigmentation

MOXI is remarkably effective at reducing early pigmentation, such as sunspots, freckles, and age-related discoloration. It helps break up melanin and allows the body to clear pigment naturally over time.

02
Early Aging & Preventative Care

Younger patients love MOXI as a preventative tool, delaying the onset of fine lines, laxity, and uneven texture. By stimulating collagen before it’s depleted, you keep your skin in its prime longer.

03
Texture, Glow & Smoothness

Even if you’re not targeting visible damage, MOXI creates an undeniable glow. It smooths the surface, refines pores, and restores that fresh, healthy bounce that often dulls with time and stress.

04
Year-Round Maintenance

MOXI is gentle enough to be performed throughout the year, even in the summer months (with proper sun protection). It’s perfect between deeper treatments or as a quarterly skin reset.

What to Expect at
REAL Aesthetics

Step 1: Comprehensive Consultation

We start by assessing your skin with a combination of visual analysis and advanced imaging if needed. We’ll learn your goals, determine your skin type and sensitivity, and decide if MOXI is the best fit, or if another treatment would better serve your needs.

Step 2: Individualized Pre-Care

To get the best results, we’ll advise on skincare leading up to your treatment. That might include pausing retinoids, prepping with brighteners, or ensuring skin hydration is optimized. We also recommend avoiding sun exposure and tanning for 2 weeks prior.

Step 3: Precision Treatment

On the day of treatment, we apply topical numbing to maximize comfort. The MOXI handpiece is passed over the skin in smooth, even passes. You’ll feel a warm prickling sensation that’s usually very tolerable. Treatment takes about 15–20 minutes once started.

Step 4: Recovery & Support

Post-treatment, your skin will appear pink, similar to a mild sunburn, for the remainder of the day. Over the next 3–5 days, your skin may feel dry or gritty as the microscopic treatment zones exfoliate. You’ll receive detailed aftercare guidance and our support throughout.

Step 5: Maintenance & Refinement

We’ll invite you back for future MOXI sessions based on your goals, whether that’s seasonal, pre-event, or after a summer of sun. As your skin continues to evolve, we can layer in complementary treatments such as BBL HEROic, facials, or microneedling for amplified outcomes.

HAVE QUESTIONS?
WE HAVE THE ANSWERS!

Is MOXI safe for all skin types?

Yes. MOXI is FDA-cleared and safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types, including deeper tones. Its non-ablative mechanism minimizes risk of hyperpigmentation, making it a preferred option for diverse patient populations.

Does MOXI hurt?

Most patients find MOXI very tolerable. We apply numbing beforehand, and the sensation during treatment feels like a light heat or prickling. Post-treatment, the skin feels warm or tight, like a mild sunburn.

How soon will I see results?

Glow appears within 5–7 days as skin exfoliates and renews. Over time, collagen remodeling improves smoothness and tone. For deeper issues, a series is typically needed to see full improvement.

Is there any peeling or flaking?

You may experience light flaking or a sandpaper feel as the treated skin exfoliates, but there’s no visible peeling or downtime like with more aggressive lasers. You can wear makeup the next day and resume normal activities immediately.

How does MOXI compare to HALO or CO2 lasers?

MOXI is less intense than HALO or ablative lasers. It’s best for prevention, maintenance, or treating mild to moderate issues. For deeper wrinkles or significant sun damage, HALO or resurfacing lasers may be recommended instead.

How often should I get MOXI?

We typically recommend a series of 3 for initial improvement, then quarterly maintenance. Many patients schedule MOXI in spring and fall for seasonal skin refreshes.

What makes combined light and laser treatments more effective than single treatments?

Combined light and laser treatments are more effective than single treatments because they work on multiple levels of the skin, delivering both surface refinement and deep cellular renewal. Moxi gently resurfaces to smooth and brighten, while BBL penetrates deeper to target pigment and even influence gene expression—prompting older cells to behave like younger ones. This layered, science-backed approach creates real rejuvenation, producing lasting improvements in tone, texture, and overall skin vitality. It’s the difference between simply correcting what you see on the surface and truly regenerating the skin for long-term transformation.

Is it safe to get Moxi treatments during the summer?

Yes—Moxi is safe to receive during the summer. At REAL, we follow science, not seasons, and with a few smart precautions you should already be taking, Moxi remains a confident year-round treatment. This gentle yet powerful non-ablative laser improves pigmentation, texture, tone, pore size, fine lines, wrinkles, and even boosts collagen for healthier, more resilient skin. Science-backed and physician-directed, Moxi by @Sciton is a gold-standard option for maintaining clear, healthy skin in every season. There’s no need to lose momentum by pressing pause—consistency is what creates real results.
