Is Contour TRL better than CO2 laser?
Contour TRL delivers results comparable to CO2 but with greater precision and less risk of thermal damage. It uses erbium:YAG technology, which allows for more controlled ablation with faster healing and a lower chance of pigmentation issues, especially for lighter skin tones.
How long is the recovery process?
You can expect 7–14 days of visible downtime, depending on the depth of treatment. During the first week, the skin may be red, raw, and slightly oozing. Most patients return to public-facing activities around 10–14 days post-treatment. Pinkness can persist for several weeks, but this can be concealed with makeup once the skin has healed.
Does Contour TRL hurt?
The procedure itself is performed under topical numbing, injectable anesthesia, or oral sedation to keep you comfortable. You may feel warmth and a stinging sensation during the laser passes, followed by a “sunburn” sensation in the hours after.
