ClearV is an advanced vascular laser by Sciton designed specifically to target unwanted blood vessels on the face and body.

Rediscover Clearer, More Even-Looking Skin With
ClearV®

ClearV®
is Perfect For…

  • Visible Facial Veins & Broken Capillaries
Small red, blue or purple vessels can become increasingly noticeable around the nose, cheeks, chin and other areas of the face. ClearV allows us to precisely target these unwanted vessels while minimizing unnecessary treatment of the surrounding skin.
  • Persistent Vascular Redness
When visible blood vessels contribute to persistent redness, ClearV can target the vascular structures beneath the skin to help create a clearer, more even-looking complexion.
  • Spider & Body Veins
ClearV can also be used for appropriate vascular concerns beyond the face, including spider veins and other visible vessels on areas of the body.
  • Rosacea-Associated Visible Vessels
Rosacea can involve flushing, persistent redness and visible facial vessels. When unwanted vascular structures are contributing to what you see, ClearV may form part of a personalized treatment plan.
Treatment Length

Treatment time depends on the number, size and location of the vessels being addressed. Smaller areas can be relatively quick to treat, while more extensive vascular concerns may require approximately 30 minutes.

Treatment Frequency

At REAL, we recommend 3 – 4 treatments for correction, followed by maintenance treatments every 3 – 6 months.

Treatment Results

Treated vessels gradually become less noticeable as the body clears them over time. Some patients notice improvement following one treatment, with changes continuing to develop over the following weeks. Results vary according to the type, depth, size and number of vessels being treated.

Treatment Recovery

ClearV typically involves minimal downtime. Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising can occur, and some treated vessels may initially appear darker or more noticeable before they begin to fade. Most patients can return to their usual daily activities following treatment.

What is
ClearV®?

ClearV is an advanced vascular laser by Sciton designed specifically to target unwanted blood vessels on the face and body.

Using a 1064 nm Nd wavelength, ClearV delivers controlled laser energy into targeted vascular structures beneath the skin. The energy is absorbed within the vessel, generating heat that causes it to close before the body gradually clears the treated vessel through its natural processes.

ClearV also incorporates Subsurface Vein Illumination, or SVI™, which helps us visualize vessels beneath the surface of the skin. This can be particularly useful when treating vascular concerns where feeder vessels or deeper structures may not be immediately visible.

The technology can be used for concerns including visible facial veins, broken capillaries, spider veins, periorbital veins and other appropriate vascular lesions. It may also be considered when visible vessels are contributing to persistent facial redness or rosacea.

At REAL Aesthetics + Wellness, we first assess what is actually creating the redness or discoloration you are seeing. Not every red area is vascular in nature, and different vessels require different treatment strategies. ClearV settings can therefore be customized according to your skin and the characteristics of the vessels being treated.

HOW ClearV® WORKS

This Treatment is
Great For…

01
Visible Facial Veins & Broken Capillaries

Fine red, blue or purple vessels commonly become noticeable around the nose, cheeks, chin and other areas of the face. Although these vessels can be small, their color may make them particularly noticeable against the surrounding skin.

ClearV allows us to precisely target individual vascular structures. Over the following weeks, treated vessels gradually become less noticeable, helping the complexion appear clearer and more even.

02
Persistent Redness & Vascular Changes

Facial redness can have several causes, including visible blood vessels, sun damage, inflammation and rosacea. Understanding what is creating the redness is therefore an important part of choosing the right treatment.

When visible vascular structures are contributing to the concern, ClearV can target those vessels directly. Where redness has several components, we may recommend a broader or staged treatment strategy.

03
Rosacea-Associated Visible Vessels

Rosacea does not look the same on everyone. Some patients experience predominantly flushing or diffuse redness, while others develop small, increasingly noticeable facial vessels.

ClearV does not remove the underlying tendency to develop rosacea, but it can target appropriate visible vessels associated with the condition. Treatment may therefore form part of a wider strategy for improving the vascular changes you see in your skin.

04
Spider Veins & Other Vascular Lesions

ClearV can also be used to target appropriate vascular concerns on the body, including spider veins and other visible or subsurface vessels.

Because vascular lesions differ in size, depth and behavior, we assess the area first to establish whether ClearV is appropriate and what type of treatment plan is likely to be required.

What to Expect at
REAL Aesthetics

Step 1: Comprehensive Consultation

Your treatment begins with a detailed assessment of the vessels or redness you would like to address. We consider their color, size, depth and distribution alongside your skin type, medical history, previous treatments and aesthetic goals.

This is particularly important for facial redness. What looks like one concern in the mirror may involve visible vessels, diffuse redness, pigmentation or several changes occurring together. Your consultation allows us to establish whether ClearV is the right treatment and create a plan around what is actually present.

Step 2: Individualized Pre-Care

ClearV generally requires minimal preparation, but we will provide individualized instructions according to your skin and the area being treated.

You may be advised to avoid certain products or activities before your appointment and to arrive with clean skin free from makeup and topical products. Any preparation specific to you will be discussed during your consultation so you know exactly what to expect.

Step 3: Precision Treatment

During treatment, protective eyewear is provided and the ClearV handpiece is positioned over the vascular structures we are targeting.

Precise pulses of laser energy are delivered into the vessel. You may experience a brief warm or hot sensation with each pulse, while integrated cooling helps protect the skin and improve comfort.

Treatment settings are customized according to your skin and the size, depth and location of the vessel. Small isolated vessels may be relatively quick to treat, while larger or more extensive areas naturally require additional time.

Step 4: Recovery & Support

Immediately after treatment, the area may appear red or slightly swollen. Some treated vessels can temporarily look darker, purple or more noticeable before they begin to fade.

We will provide clear aftercare instructions based on the area treated and your individual response. Most patients can return to their usual activities quickly, although it is important to follow our guidance while the skin settles.

Our team remains available throughout your recovery if you have questions about how the treated area is responding.

Step 5: Maintenance & Refinement

Some individual vessels respond well to one treatment, while larger, deeper or more extensive vascular concerns may require additional sessions. We allow time for the treated vessels to respond before deciding whether further treatment would be beneficial.

ClearV removes targeted vessels but cannot prevent new ones from developing in the future. Genetics, sun exposure, rosacea and other factors can contribute to new vascular changes over time, so your treatment plan can be adjusted as your skin changes.

Where appropriate, we may also recommend complementary treatments to address other components of redness, pigmentation, texture or overall skin quality.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

01
Holistic Aesthetic Assessment

Effective vascular treatment starts with understanding what is creating the color you see.

We assess the visible and underlying vascular structures alongside your skin, medical history and overall concerns before recommending treatment. This allows us to determine whether ClearV is the right approach and build a plan around your individual needs rather than treating redness as a one-size-fits-all concern.

02
Expert-Level Technique

ClearV provides considerable control over how vascular structures are treated, but technology is only part of the process.

Our providers customize treatment according to the type, size, depth and location of the vessel, using ClearV’s visualization technology, adjustable settings and integrated cooling to deliver treatment with precision.

03
Optional Add-On Therapies

Many patients have more than one component contributing to the appearance of their skin.

Depending on what we identify during your assessment, ClearV may be incorporated into a broader treatment plan alongside other technologies available at REAL Aesthetics + Wellness. Additional treatments are recommended only where there is a clear reason to address another concern separately.

HAVE QUESTIONS?
WE HAVE THE ANSWERS!

Is ClearV® safe?

ClearV is designed for precise vascular treatment and combines customizable laser settings with integrated contact cooling to help protect the surrounding skin.

As with any laser procedure, appropriate patient selection and treatment parameters are important. We assess your skin, medical history and vascular concern before treatment to determine whether ClearV is appropriate for you.

Is ClearV® painful?

Most patients describe a brief warm or hot sensation as each laser pulse targets the vessel. ClearV incorporates contact cooling to help protect the skin and improve comfort throughout treatment.

Individual sensitivity varies, and your experience can also depend on the size, depth and location of the vessels being treated.

How many ClearV® treatments will I need?

Some vessels may respond after one treatment, while others require a series of sessions. The number needed depends on factors including the size and depth of the vessels, how many are present and how your body responds.

Rather than prescribing the same course for everyone, we assess your progress and recommend further treatment where appropriate.

How quickly will I see results?

Vascular results develop gradually rather than all at once.

Some treated vessels may initially look darker or more noticeable before beginning to fade. The body then gradually clears the treated vascular structures, with improvement continuing to develop over the following weeks.

Can ClearV® treat rosacea?

ClearV can target appropriate unwanted blood vessels that contribute to the visible redness associated with rosacea.

However, rosacea is a chronic skin condition that can involve several different signs and triggers. ClearV does not eliminate the underlying tendency to develop rosacea, so we first assess how your condition presents and whether vascular laser treatment is appropriate for you.

Can ClearV® be used anywhere other than the face?

Yes. ClearV can be used for appropriate vascular concerns on both the face and body.

Potential treatment areas include the face, neck, chest and other areas where suitable unwanted vessels are present. We assess the type of vessel and treatment area before determining whether ClearV is appropriate.

Is there downtime after ClearV®?

ClearV generally involves minimal downtime, and most patients can return to their normal routine relatively quickly.

Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising or darkening of the treated vessels can occur. We will explain what you can expect based on the type and location of the vessels being treated.

Will treated veins come back?

Once a targeted vessel has been successfully treated and cleared by the body, that vessel does not simply reopen. However, treatment cannot prevent new visible vessels from developing in the future.

Factors including genetics, sun exposure and conditions such as rosacea can contribute to vascular changes over time. New vessels can be assessed and treated where appropriate.
