Instructions
Pre-care
Avoid Prolonged Direct Sun Exposure
Starting 2 weeks before treatment apply SPF 30+ daily, wear a hat and avoid prolonged, direct sun exposure. Continue for at least 1 month after treatment.
Discontinue Active Skincare
Stop using retinol, tretinoin, AHAs, BHAs, hydroquinone, and other exfoliating agents 5 days prior to treatment.
No Self-Tanner or Spray Tans
The treatment works best on natural skin tone, so avoid any artificial tanning products.
Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water and keep skin moisturized for optimal healing.
Medications
Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, Motrin, fish oil, Vitamin E, and other blood thinners for 5–7 days before treatment. If you are prescribed a blood thinner, have taken Accutane, or steroids in the past, please notify your provider.
Cold Sore Prevention
If prone to cold sores, an antiviral prescription may be recommended before and after treatment.
Post-care
Immediately After (perform all cleansing and skincare with clean, dry hands)
- Apply provided mask to soothe and cool skin when you get home (duration 30 minutes).
1st 24 hours Following Treatment (apply to Face, Neck and Chest)
- Spray Hydrinity Hyacyn (2-5 mists) 2-4 times per day to hydrate and cleanse skin.
- Warmth will subside after 2-4 hours and may mildly continue for up to 24 hours.
- Dab pinpoint bleeding with a clean tissue.
- Swelling can be significant! Treat with Benadryl (as needed) and cool, gentle compresses.
Days 2-7 (starting morning after treatment & continue daily once healed to maintain results
Morning:
- Cleanse with REAL Gentle Cleanser
- Hydrinity Hyacyn spray (2–5 mists)
- Hydrinity Restorative HA Serum
- Alastin Regenerating Nectar (optional)
- Moisturize with REAL Luxe Lipid
- Apply Alastin Hydratint SPF
- Wear a hat when outside
Night:
- Cleanse with REAL Gentle Cleanser
- Hydrinity Hyacyn spray (2–3 mists)
- Hydrinity Restorative HA Serum
- Alastin Regenerating Nectar (optional)
- Moisturize with REAL Luxe Lipid
Recovery
Redness & Warmth
Expect moderate warmth and redness post-procedure, typically lasting less than 24 hours. Redness can last 7 days (but is most intense through day 3).
Swelling
Most common under the eyes and in the lower face; typically peaks at 48 hours, can last up to 4 days, and be worse in the mornings. Treat with Benadryl and cool compress with clean towel 2-4 times per day
Promote Healing
Only use provided post-care products. Avoid actives like retinols, AHAs, HQ, Vitamin C or exfoliants until 2 weeks after treatment. Continue diligent sunscreen use for at least 1 month.
Avoid Makeup
Wait 5-7 days after treatment to allow skin to finish peeling prior to wearing makeup.
MENDS
Fine brown, or white sandpaper dots/ texture appear on days 2-3. Do not pick or scrub. Skin will exfoliate naturally over 5–7 days. Keep skin moisturized to support healing.
Exercise, Sweating, Pools/ Hot tubs, Saunas, etc.
Avoid for 5-7 days until fully healed.
