Wrinkle Relaxer

Pre-treatment and Post-treatment
Instructions

Pre-care

Avoid Blood Thinners

Stop taking aspirin, NSAIDs (Advil, Ibuprofen, Aleve), fish oil, and vitamin E 5 days before treatment to minimize bruising. Consult your doctor if these are medically necessary.

No Alcohol for 24 Hours

Alcohol increases the risk of bruising and swelling.

Cold Sore Prevention

If prone to cold sores, let your provider know, so they can coordinate antiviral medication if needed.

Hydrate & Nourish Your Skin

Well-hydrated skin enhances results and supports healing.

Plan for Possible Bruising

Schedule your treatment at least 2 weeks before any major event to allow full healing. Complimentary bruise reduction treatment is available upon request.

Arrive With a Clean Face

No makeup, moisturizer, or sunscreen on the treatment area.

Post-care

Days 1 to 3

Mild Redness or Bruising is Normal

Gently apply cool compresses to minimize swelling. Press softly – do not put pressure on treated areas.

Headache After Treatment is Normal

Headache after injections is related to the needle sticks not the wrinkle relaxers medication. Take Tylenol if needed as Advil can increase bruising.

Avoid Touching or Massaging the Area

Avoid facials, massages, or applying pressure to the treated area for at least 24 hours.

No Strenuous Exercise or Sweating

Avoid intense workouts, heat exposure, or excessive sweating for 24 hours.

Use Gentle Skincare

Avoid active ingredients like retinol, AHAs, and BHAs for 48 hours.

Days 4 to 7

Toxin Begins to Take Effect

You may start noticing a softening of lines. Onset can occur prior to day 4.

Bruising

May persist, but will begin to lighten as you heal.

Continue Hydration & Sun Protection

Use SPF daily to protect skin and enhance longevity.

Ongoing Maintenance

Full Results at 14-21 Days

It is normal to need an adjustment after your first treatment and it is normal to notice asymmetries in the first two weeks as the product is kicking in (most resolve on their own). Follow up with your provider 14-21 days after treatment. Before then is typically too soon to make adjustments.

Consistency is Key

Maintain your results by scheduling treatments every 3-4 months.

Follow Your Provider’s Skincare Plan

Medical-grade skincare enhances and maintains results.
